UNESCO World Press Freedom Prize for Gaza
UNESCO has granted the World Press Freedom Prize for Palestinian journalist covering news of Gaza during the last war by Israeli occupation forces for their courage. 141 journalists from Gaza working for local and international agencies have been killed during the war. Some of the journalist’s families have been targeted and killed by Israeli occupation forces and their houses destroyed. It’s worth mentioning that targeting journalists is a violation for international law.
